2nd test build is here

April 18th, 2007. Published by martin.

Its been available since last friday but i needed a break so I only mentioned it on the users list (which you should join if you want to know whats going on)

You can get it from here :

http://aseclipseplugin.sourceforge.net/testreleases/asdt-0.0.9-test-13-04-07.zip

This build has a totally new completion system which undoubtedly has some holes, but hopefully when it works shows you a bit more about what you are doing :)

Aside from that its :

Support for custom compiler (e.g. hamtasc) so you can use any executable not just the bundled MTASC. Also support for custom compiler arguments.Task tags in comments (TODO, FIXME, XXX)

Better syntax colouring (top level types, underscore based types)

UI Feedback during cache building

Bug fixes, as many as possible from the sourceforge bug list (some had been there for 2 years..) and lots of little things here and there, null pointer exceptions.

if you try it please let us know how it works out for you.

thanks.

First Test Release!

March 23rd, 2007. Published by martin.

The first test release is now available for download here :

DOWNLOAD TEST RELEASE

There are a lot of changes from 0.0.8 (and a lot of bugs).

This release is intended just for testing purposes, its not ready for production as there are a lot of bugs and unfinished features. If you are feeling brave or just curious about the new stuff then download the zip and extract it into an eclipse install (probably not your day to day work install) and try it out.

Among the new features are :

  • New Parser / AS2 Model (only just started integrating..)
  • Classpath Manager
  • Build Manager
  • Console Logger
  • Swf Viewer configuration
  • Bundled MTASC
  • Flash Help Converter
  • Flash Develop Importer

I’ll be writing detailed posts about each new or updated feature over the next few days so you get an idea of where we are going.

If you do test out this build and want to report some issues please send us a mail to the users list

and remember to always backup your work :)
