Good news for Linux

March 26th, 2007. Published by martin on News.

I just fixed a couple of bugs so now you can both compile and use the console logger on Linux.

I have also compiled MTASC 1.13 and upgraded the MTASC plugin (its only for x86 though).

This fixes and MTASC are just in SVN at the moment. If you try it out then please let me know how it goes for you, that would be very helpful.

If you just want the MTASC package you can grab it from my site here :

  1. it’s alive!

OMG, I am so happy, I had not been here for a while and…yes…I had kind of given up on ASDT, looking for another alternative. But now, you are back. ASDT is alive! this has to be shared…

  2. Now that I know that you are up and running. I would have a Linux related Question. It is regarding the linked core libraries. The linked libraries go missing. I have my class folder in following place “/home/vevmesteren/.flash/Classes” (I copied my Flash 8 classes to this folder) but the core library is displayed with an exclamation mark, when right-clicking the folder an error dialog tells me : The currently displayed page contains invalid Values. After clicking Ok, the properties for core dialog displays. Here the location and resolved location are shown as ‘unknown’. Could you help me out with this one,

    Thank you so much

  3. bon bon, maybe I should have googled it first…found that creating the linked folder in the Preferences>General>Workspace>Linked Resources helps….maybe something that shoudl be posted somewhere here, so that mere mortal Linux users, know what to do if the core fails…again, I am so happy to see that you are back…

  4. ok, so you must find me insanely annoying by now, but I stil think that this might help out the one or other Flash Developer. Pointing the linked library to the Classes folder will not work it seems. I can only point the core library to a specific version at a time, Would there be a workaround for that?

    Thanks
